Mr Christakis manages all aspects of thyroid malignancies (cancers) with excellent clinical outcomes.
All patients that have a suspected thyroid cancer are treated in an urgent cancer pathway from the time of the investigations till the day of the operation.
Cancer patients are prioritised and their operation will take place a few weeks after the final diagnosis.
All thyroid cancer patients have their management plan reviewed and validated in the Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Team Meeting of the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Christakis is in close contact with the patients throughout their journey to offer support and advice.
Once surgical treatment is complete, patients are monitored with an individualised/personalised Treatment Plan.
